an  international voluntary, non governmental movement for children and youth, have  fun with a purpose and education for life time. Scouting is open to all regardless of race and creed, in accordance with the purpose, principles and methods conceived by its founder Robert   Baden-Powell in 1907. Today, there are recognized Scout organizations and branches in more than 216 countries and territories with membership of more than 25 million boys and girls.

The Open Ismaili District Boy Scouts Association, Hunza (OIDBSA) is registered with Pakistan Boys Scouts Association (PBSA) through Northern Areas Boy Scouts Association. Since its inception in the region the Association is actively involve in promoting the mandates of world scouting. OIDBSA Hunza is  the only scouting association in Pakistan that has more than 85% membership base of the children and youth between age group 5-25 of the target population.
